In this workshop, you will create your own stencils, which will be applied to a ceramic latte cup. You’ll experiment with an underglaze peeling technique and learn how to transfer these skills to working with aerosol and paper as well. The session combines surface design, clay decoration, and spray-painting techniques in a relaxed and creative environment.
You will work with a leather-hard (half-dry) clay latte cup, creating a stencil design using paper and underglaze. You will also produce a minimum of two aerosol artworks on paper using stencils developed during the session.
You’ll leave with completed aerosol artworks on the day, and a finished, functional ceramic mug to collect at a later date.
