Re-assemble Art Education Conference 2026
Art Education Victoria is hosting the Re-assemble Art Education Conference, a full-day professional development event for educators, artists, and creative practitioners.
Designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, the conference provides a platform for participants to explore innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and art-making while connecting with peers from across the education and arts sectors.

Through keynote presentations, workshops, and collaborative sharing sessions, participants will explore themes including:
• Educator and student wellbeing
• The restorative power of making
• The art room as a space for safe self-expression
• The ways art can nurture connections to Country and the natural world
The conference will feature keynote speakers Gracia Haby and Louise Jennison, alongside a diverse program of workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.
Leah Grant has been invited to participate in a panel discussion, sharing her experiences as an artist and educator and exploring the positive impact creativity can have on wellbeing and community connection.
