In December 2025, I had the privilege of painting a mural at Reynella South Primary School. The school had already organised the perfect location, but there was one small challenge, an old, unused window in the middle of the wall. Before I arrived, the team arranged for it to be professionally bricked up. Now that’s commitment to wall prep!
It turned out to be such a worthwhile step, giving me a larger, uninterrupted surface to work with. As you enter the car park, the wall now stands out and welcomes you into the courtyard.
One very special part of the project was inviting the Year 6 students to add their names to the mural. They were beyond excited to spray paint their school wall and even the teachers joined in, leaving their mark too.
A heartfelt thank you to Principal Mrs Tara Augustin for the invitation. What a beautiful community of students, parents, and staff you have created.
Thank you to Dave Atze for painting assistance on the first two days. We had a lot of fun painting together and I can’t wait to see what he paints next.
“I had the best time helping out on this mural and learning different techniques and work flow from Leah. She has certainly lit the mural fire in me and I can’t wait to do another!”
“It has completely transformed the space! Students, families and staff comment daily on how vibrant, meaningful and uplifting the mural is. Leah was professional, collaborative and exceptionally talented. She engaged beautifully with our staff and students, taking time to talk with them, answer questions and share her creative process. Students have been captivated by the artwork, and the level of excitement, pride and curiosity it has generated has been remarkable. In the time she was on site, she became a part of our school community and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. ”
